My First Book Signing

Last month, on the last day, the 30, I held my first ever book signing at the Debden Library. Now, there weren't a whole lot of people that showed up, maybe twentyish, but I still felt somewhat famous. I sold all the books I had on hand and took orders for a few more, totalling up to 15. Many of the people that showed up were former teachers of mine, all who were incredibly proud of my accomplishments. My old football coach showed up and a lady I didn't even know drove for over an hour and a half for the event. We had some snacks (I made the cookies) and visited with everyone that came. They all seemed interested in my writing process as really no one from my hometown had ever done what I had before. We took some pictures and were featured in the Shellbrook Chronicle a week or two later. That's twice in two months for me. Wow. Anyway, I would call the whole thing a success and hope I can maybe have another one some other time. Maybe when I publish Book 2.
